Description
Exceptional vintage giardinetto brooch crafted in gold and designed as an elaborate flower basket, richly set with an assortment of coloured gemstones and pearls.
The floral arrangement combines carved coral and fantasy-cut quartz with emeralds, spherical pearls and brilliant-cut white diamonds. Several carved flower heads are individually centred with diamonds, while the basket is extensively accented with brilliant-cut diamonds and finished with a large faceted pale quartz stone at the base.
A highly decorative and sculptural jewel showcasing the exuberant multicoloured jewellery aesthetic of the 1950s.
