Description
A refined Cartier wristwatch from the 1920s Art Deco period, embodying the geometric purity and jewellery craftsmanship that defined the Maison’s early watchmaking.
The square platinum case is framed by a continuous setting of old-cut diamonds and contrasted by a yellow gold case back, numbered 3116. The signed silvered dial features bold Roman numerals, a chemin de fer minute track and elegant blued steel hands.
A jewel-set crown completes the composition, while the black fabric and leather strap preserves the understated evening character associated with Cartier wristwatches of the period.
Recently professionally serviced and in working condition, the watch retains the natural patina expected of an object approaching a century in age. The dial and diamonds show subtle variations consistent with their period, contributing to the individuality and historical character of the piece.
